Maintenance & Repairs

Safe Diving Starts with Certified Equipment

We Fix Almost Everything

Regular maintenance is essential for anyone who wants to enjoy safe and worry-free diving. That’s why we only have our tanks inspected by a certified inspection facility, ensuring you dive with a properly tested pressure vessel.

Cylinder Inspection

To comply with European safety regulations, your tank must meet certain key criteria. The following information must be clearly stamped into the neck of the cylinder:

Serial number
Manufacturer identification
Cylinder weight (in kg)
Working pressure and test pressure
Cylinder volume (in liters)
Cylinder material (steel, aluminum, carbon, etc.)
Date of the most recent inspection (valid for a maximum of 5 years)
Thread type (M25 or 3/4” gas. Cylinders with small conical threads or non-standard fittings will no longer be certified.)

The last two items are especially critical. Cylinders brought to a HISWA-recognized filling station that are missing this information will not be filled under any circumstances.

Important: The valve on your tank must match the thread type of the cylinder (M25 or 3/4" gas). A mismatch is extremely dangerous. If your valve does not have a clear thread marking, the cylinder will also not be filled.

Inspection typically takes 2–3 weeks, as there are only a few certified inspectors in the Netherlands. Please note: Only the cylinder itself is inspected – not the valve or valve-cylinder combination.

Regulator Servicing

Your regulator is the heart of your dive system. It’s absolutely essential that it works flawlessly when you're underwater. That’s why regular servicing is so important.

So, what does that involve? Your regulator should undergo a full service at least every two years, even with light use. Ideally, it’s checked annually, especially if used frequently or in saltwater.

Servicing must be done by a certified technician to ensure all parts are properly inspected, replaced, and tuned – so your gear is returned fully operational and safe to use.

At Divestore de Grevelingen, we only service the following trusted brands:

• Aqualung
• Mares
• Apeks
• Scubapro

During the diving season, a typical service will take about 1.5 to 2 weeks, depending on parts availability.
